What got you Into PC Gaming? Aside from cheats.

For me personally what got me into PC gaming was the no yearly subscription and games were a lot cheaper due to steam region change (although they seem to be cracking down on that a bit 😕)

Ultimately better FPS and not having to pay for an online subscription like you do with Xbox LIVE and PSN, also being able to get paid games for free. However everyone ends up cheating due to cheats being more prominent on PC due to accessibility with unrestricted systems unlike new gen consoles

I only got into PC literally for the games it had that console didn't and the a million other things you could do on a PC. Plus better gameplay, better fps, and all around more competitive. I also find myself using my PC aside from my laptop to help me do school work. I do everything on my PC now so i mean it wasnt just for gaming even though i built it for gaming.

My Uncle had a PC for his Company and showed me the good old stuff like Duke Nukem and DooM after that i had to get myself a PC 😄

I played on Commodore and SEGA Entertainment-Systems before the PC.

there are a few reasons:

1. modding on pc - change the gameplay

 

2. better i/o devices like mouse and keyboard

 

3. possibility to get games for free - through warez sites

 

4. better graphics

 

5. better cheating options

Modding, the pc master race with the graphics and frames and also, obviously, the cheesing, cheating.

Grew up with gameboys, was addicted to the SEGA and PS1, but Red Alert 1 on the PC blew my balls out of the water. It even got my dad addicted, that game was so good. Ditched the console alltogether when I discovered MMO's, Astonia 3 was like a drug to me xD
